"maybe you shouldn't be running?

The whole ‘winning votes’ thing is secondary; if you have to hide who you are, and what you stand for, to win, maybe you shouldn’t be running?
So says Dave Semple in a response to his post Campaign moments and Brown’s bigotry.

To have written anything along with the quote would have taken more time than was available.

It's unpleasant to think that people will tell lies in order to get a job - any job. It will, eventually, backfire and hurt both employer and employee.
